Pregnancy Journey

Since starting on my pregnancy journey 3 1/2 months ago, I have experienced a lot of ups and downs physically. With my first pregnancy I was tired, however I never really had any negative issues with food.  This time around (although I am thankful for not being so physically ill that I had to throw up) I have experienced NON- STOP NASEAU!! YUCK!! Which for someone who's like me and like to eat has been difficult to deal with.  The first trimester I could not find anything to really settle my stomach. I tried all food, good and bad and nothing seemed to help. I was beginning to wonder if this would go on through the duration of my pregnancy, but thankfully as I entered the 2nd trimester I have been blessed with a new settled tummy!! Yay!! Now that I am in the 2nd trimester, not only is my tummy feeling better, but now I have more energy as well!! I am so happy to be able to workout again! Although I am not really interested in doing the harder workouts I once did pre-pregnancy

Pregnancy!!

Since becoming pregnant a few months ago, it seems my world has been turned up side down. My expectations of myself have had to change, as my energy levels have been all over the place, and the nausea is horrible. I can't seem to get a grip on food at the moment. I will get a craving, eat it and then be very let down to find that I really didn't want what I thought I did. Sigh... For someone who was in a good place with food before the pregnancy, this has been difficult to deal with. Nothing seems to make me feel better. BLAH!! My last pregnancy was 10 years ago. Although I struggled with energy levels during that pregnancy, it was not quite this bad and I really never was sick in my stomach at all. So this experience is a whole new ball of wax for me. As a fitness Coach this has made my life a little bit more difficult. As I want to remain a good example of health, fitness and nutrition for the people I work with. Do you have a proper Support System?

Having the proper support system in place is key to helping yourself succeed in all your goals. Do you find that you tend to be a loner? Why is that? Maybe you should ask yourself that question and really dig down deep. For each of us there are different reasons, but most of it stems from old past history of people letting us down in one fashion or another.. I used to be a loner because I had lost trust in others around me. But what I started to find out was that I was putting my trust into the wrong kind of people. Not everyone deserves our trust, but it is important to find good solids folks to stand with you when times get hard. And good people do still exist!! You just have to be on the look out for them. My own lack of trust in people is why for years I was let down time after time, which eventually led to a very negative perception of people in general. Thankfully once I saw what I was doing, and who I was choosing to put my faith in, it was much easier to find those who were

Me time!!

Have you ever had issues with your health because you go and go until you end up sick and in bed? You have to find time to rest. I don't just mean getting to bed at a reasonable hour (although that is part of it), I mean that you need to take some time to yourself regularly. How many hours a day do you actually work? Do you need to work less but work smarter? Try taking more time to take care of yourself. Here is what I recommend: Start your day with your workout. Get that out of the way and begin your day with a success. You have truly proven that your health is a priority if you will make this change in your life. I know it's hard at first, but you will be surprised how you can make this a lifelong habit if you make the decision to do this. Next I want you to consider your time for yourself. Do you take time away from your normal environment? Maybe you should take some time to go to the beach, a lake, park, or go for a hike at least once a week. Time away enab

In life there are low maintenance people and there are high maintenance people. We need to be around people that support us as much as we support them. Finding a relationship where you can truly trust someone is hard but very important. You want to be with people like you who are dreamers that want more out of life. Thi nk of it like you are putting together a team. People don't realize the type of people they are hanging out with until they start having some success. There will be people in your life who will say you are changing but they have no desire for more or to change and grow in their own lives. They are uncomfortable watching you grow because it points out the lack of growth and effort in their own lives. There is nothing you can do about the people in your life who don't want to change. The important thing is not to let them hold you back. As you make new relationships, be mindful of the people you choose to spend your time with. Do the people you spe

AVOIDING CHANGE BY OPTING FOR THE EASY SOLUTION?

Many of today's health issues can be reversed with a simple change in diet!! I am not saying there is no place for medication. But if you are using medication to avoid making the necessary changes in your life to fix a problem, then you are doing yourself a disservice. Change doesn't have to be hard or painful. You just have to be willing to do it! Stop running for the quick fix and do the work it takes to make change! You body will thank you in the long run. And so will your wallet!!

THE TRUTH ABOUT SALT!!

Here is some good info about salt.  Lately most people are running in fear of salt. But in reality, salt is actually good for you! Yes, you heard me correctly!! Salt is good for you! It just depends on what types of salt you are consuming. In order for your body to be able to process salt normally and extract all the mineral you need to get your salt from a mineral rich source. Coach Summit 2012

Coach Summit 2012 was in Vegas this year! This was one of the BEST experiences I have ever had. Surrounded by positive people all doing their best to help others and end the trend of obesity! It was AWESOME!  Beachbody totally spoiled us all! We got to stay at the MGM Grand! Attended all sorts of seminars where we learned a lot. And the parties they threw were wonderful! If you have the passion for helping others, there is NO better job then being a Beachbody COACH! I can't say enough about how important it is to surround yourself with positive people! Positive people make the difference in how you view the world and how successful you become. Before Beachbody I never saw myself as a business woman. Heck I never thought I could attain much! But through my time with them Beachbody I have been inspired to be more and do more with my life then I ever thought I could! They are truly inspirational! The highlight of the weekend was watching a good friend of mine win $100,000!!! R

Change your Perspective!

Ever feel like no matter what you do or try, nothing seems to work out well? Or things end up in disaster? I used to feel this way about life. Unfortunately the way I viewed life at that time was pretty skewed toward the negative, so that is what I was blinded by. Thankfully things have changed!!! What I have found most important in all situations is to ask myself questions. When I think things are not going well, I try to stop and close my eyes. Making a new mental picture of what is going on around me and then asking some important questions. For example, "Is there something I am supposed to be learning at this moment?"..."Are my expectations out of whack?"...."Am I giving this all my effort?"..."Am I quitting too early?"...."Am I allowing old "Head Trash" to get in my way?"...."Am I blowing this situation out of proportion or taking something a bit too seriously?"  No matter the situation, there are always ple

Lose weight and get fit!

Is there a difference between losing weight and getting fit? Absolutely!! When you really stop to think about it you need both in order to achieve success!! At this point you maybe scratching your head and thinking that losing weight and getting fit are the same thing. But honestly they are NOT!! We just want everything to be simple, so we don't have to work hard or give anything up. So it is easier to lump losing weight and getting fit into the same category. The term getting FIT really takes place in the GYM. You are toning your muscles and helping to raise your metabolism so that you can burn more fat at a faster rate. Ultimately becoming stronger. But can you truly do all your work in the gym? No, not really! If you continue with bad eating habits and stop at the fast food joints, eat sugary snacks, or eat "dead food" regularly (food from a box, over processed, additives...) you are really putting your potential success on hold. Is failure an option?  Unfortunately failure is not an option for most of us. We dreams big dreams of things we would like to accomplish, but don’t dare even put a single foot forward in an attempt to attain our dreams. Out of fear we might fail or dare I say, “look bad” to others if we do fail. We give loads of excuses as to why we won’t be good at whatever it is we are too afraid to attempt, and talk ourselves out achieving our goals. Eventually our dreams and goals fall by the way side, and we wake up with our self-worth hanging by a thread. So why are we so afraid of failure anyway? Is failure really that bad? Welcome to my new blog and info page! I am so excited to finally be getting everything streamlined in order to help all my clients with their needs!! I recently finished Beachbody's new 21 day, "Ultimate Reset" detox! I am so glad that I took this step to clean my system out!! It has helped me heal from the inside out! Not only did it help me shed some unwanted icky pounds and water weight. But it taught me a new way to think about food and how to use food to heal my body and health issues. Most of us really don't take a lot of time to think about what we put into our mouths. Or how "much" food we put into our mouths... Most people think they eat pretty well. I should know, because I used to be one of those people.
