Post workout snacks that you should avoid

Had a great workout today? Feeling like the extra pounds are finally coming off? Perfect! But that rigorous exercise probably made you hungry enough to eat your entire refrigerator! So, what did you do? Did you reach for the first thing you saw in the pantry or fridge? Did you carefully plan out what you were going to eat? Chances are you may have chosen the wrong post workout snack. Eating after your workout is as equally important as fueling up before hand, but you don’t want to reach for just anything! Got Shake?

My daughter is 3 1/2 months old has been very interested in my Shakeology! When she gets her bottle, I typically have my shake too. She was more interested in Mommy's bottle then her own! This is what happened when I handed her my cup. She definitely knows the good stuff when she sees it!

Combat Day 3

Day 3 was supposed to be yesterday, but I was totally exhausted! The baby was not sleeping well and so I was trying to catch zzzz's were I could. I decided not to stress my body anymore then it already was, so I traded my rest and day 3 workout day. Today was a good day. Longer program, but that meant it was easier for me to follow and get the moves down better. I am really enjoying the trainers! Loads of fun and love their accents too! Combat Day 1 &2

I know in my previous blog I was going to walk and do yoga. But I just have not been able to get out of the house, since it has been super HOT and HUMID here in Tennessee! The baby gets really hot and sweaty in her stroller, and if I go out at night we get eaten alive by mosquitoes. YIKES! I have been chomping at the bit to try Lem Mills Combat, so I decided to DO IT!! I figure I can modify as necessary and slow things down, so that I don't compromise my milk supply (still breastfeeding). It will be interesting to see what happens. Day 1... I put disk #1 in to find out it was unreadable!! Grrrr... I called Coach Relations and their service is always great!! Whenever you buy straight from Beachbody they back everything, so I am getting my disk replaced for FREE!! In the mean time I am using some other disks that came in the set. I went ahead and started with Combat Live 30. I enjoyed it, and it was easy to modify so that I didn't over due it. Can't get too crazy or I wil...

Do you have a proper Support System?

Having the proper support system in place is key to helping yourself succeed in all your goals. Do you find that you tend to be a loner? Why is that? Maybe you should ask yourself that question and really dig down deep. For each of us there are different reasons, but most of it stems from old past history of people letting us down in one fashion or another.. I used to be a loner because I had lost trust in others around me. But what I started to find out was that I was putting my trust into the wrong kind of people. Not everyone deserves our trust, but it is important to find good solids folks to stand with you when times get hard. And good people do still exist!! You just have to be on the look out for them. My own lack of trust in people is why for years I was let down time after time, which eventually led to a very negative perception of people in general. Thankfully once I saw what I was doing, and who I was choosing to put my faith in, it was much easier to find those who were...

Me time!!

Have you ever had issues with your health because you go and go until you end up sick and in bed? You have to find time to rest. I don't just mean getting to bed at a reasonable hour (although that is part of it), I mean that you need to take some time to yourself regularly. How many hours a day do you actually work? Do you need to work less but work smarter? Try taking more time to take care of yourself. Here is what I recommend: Start your day with your workout. Get that out of the way and begin your day with a success. You have truly proven that your health is a priority if you will make this change in your life. I know it's hard at first, but you will be surprised how you can make this a lifelong habit if you make the decision to do this. Next I want you to consider your time for yourself. Do you take time away from your normal environment? Maybe you should take some time to go to the beach, a lake, park, or go for a hike at least once a week. Time away enab...

In life there are low maintenance people and there are high maintenance people. We need to be around people that support us as much as we support them. Finding a relationship where you can truly trust someone is hard but very important. You want to be with people like you who are dreamers that want more out of life. Thi nk of it like you are putting together a team. People don't realize the type of people they are hanging out with until they start having some success. There will be people in your life who will say you are changing but they have no desire for more or to change and grow in their own lives. They are uncomfortable watching you grow because it points out the lack of growth and effort in their own lives. There is nothing you can do about the people in your life who don't want to change. The important thing is not to let them hold you back. As you make new relationships, be mindful of the people you choose to spend your time with. Do the people you spe...

But if you are using medication to avoid making the necessary changes in your life to fix a problem, then you are doing yourself a disservice. Change doesn't have to be hard or painful. THE TRUTH ABOUT SALT!!

Here is some good info about salt.  Lately most people are running in fear of salt. But in reality, salt is actually good for you! Yes, you heard me correctly!! Salt is good for you! It just depends on what types of salt you are consuming. In order for your body to be able to process salt normally and extract all the mineral you need to get your salt from a mineral rich source. Coach Summit 2012

Coach Summit 2012 was in Vegas this year! This was one of the BEST experiences I have ever had. Surrounded by positive people all doing their best to help others and end the trend of obesity! It was AWESOME!  Beachbody totally spoiled us all! We got to stay at the MGM Grand! Attended all sorts of seminars where we learned a lot. And the parties they threw were wonderful! If you have the passion for helping others, there is NO better job then being a Beachbody COACH! I can't say enough about how important it is to surround yourself with positive people! Positive people make the difference in how you view the world and how successful you become. Before Beachbody I never saw myself as a business woman. Heck I never thought I could attain much! But through my time with them Beachbody I have been inspired to be more and do more with my life then I ever thought I could! They are truly inspirational! Lose weight and get fit!

Is there a difference between losing weight and getting fit? Absolutely!! When you really stop to think about it you need both in order to achieve success!! At this point you maybe scratching your head and thinking that losing weight and getting fit are the same thing. But honestly they are NOT!! We just want everything to be simple, so we don't have to work hard or give anything up. So it is easier to lump losing weight and getting fit into the same category. The term getting FIT really takes place in the GYM. You are toning your muscles and helping to raise your metabolism so that you can burn more fat at a faster rate. Ultimately becoming stronger. But can you truly do all your work in the gym? No, not really! If you continue with bad eating habits and stop at the fast food joints, eat sugary snacks, or eat "dead food" regularly (food from a box, over processed, additives...) you are really putting your potential success on hold.
