How to get MOTIVATED when your not feeling the LOVE

Some days your just not gonna feel like working out, drinking water or eating right. Those are the days you have to push a little harder and speak some truth to yourself. Do I want to do this today, "No". Will this help me, "Yes". Will being consistent get me to my healthy goal faster, "Yes". Enough said... I have found speaking some truth to yourself, asking yourself some questions about why your struggling really helps when your having a crummy day. Its been an important part of my healthy journey to identify the stumbling blocks. Sometimes we allow others to interfere with how we feel, sometime we just feel out of control in general or just have a bad attitude towards life and circumstances. So the questions come in super handy to identify the route problem, so you can get a handle on things and make some positive choices for yourself. Today I had to ask myself some tough questions. And I came to the realisation that I was not the one in control o...

Healthy food in the House!

Being prepared has been the biggest element to keeping up with my healthy goals. So today I spent a little time while my clean Chili was cooking to food prep for the next week. We will be focusing on clean eating, simple meal plans, portion control, 30 min fitness and encouraging each other for the next 21 Days! Want to join us? There is still time to jump into next weeks group. Simply email me at inghamfamily4@att.net and I will be in touch!

What is your excuse?

We all suffer from allowing our excuses to get the best of us. Whether we want to be financially fit, healthier, more consistent in our daily routines... When it comes down to attaining those things, it's often easier to allow a clever excuse to get in the way. After giving that some thought it occurred to me how often we allow our excuses to keep us tied down and chained in our current comfort zones, which are really of no real value to us. We opt to stay in debt, over look an important opportunity or keep up our current crazy life choices...which in turn make us more insane. I am not sure why we do this to ourselves and why we find comfort in sabotaging ourselves? As I know the Almighty doesn't wish us to stay stagnant in our old way of life, or He would not provide and opportunity for change in the first place. I have personally overlooked plenty of positive opportunities which has held me back from progress, placing myself on the the slow road, ending up ...

Keep it simple!!

Keeping things simple is my rule of thumb. The less ingredients the better. I had better be able to understand every ingredient on the list and not have to decipher it or google it! The fresher the better!! In my opinion your diet is a way of life and not something that is restrictive. Finding healthy options should not be frowned upon. Now days there are so many different ways to make fresher food options into so many fun and amazing tasting meals! Even ice cream!! So I encourage you to reach beyond your limitations and try out something new today. :)

It's DIY time! Hoodie Towels ROCK!!

I found this cute idea after being annoyed with my daughters baby towels. Very poorly made and don't absorb much either. If you have ever gone shopping for a hoodie towel, you will find they a quite expensive too! So I decided to do a little research and came to find out I could save some money and make them myself. The towels I purchased from Target, Walmart and Sam's Club. I paid more at Sam's and didn't find the towels to be any better quality. So lesson learned. For info on how to make these towels check out my DIY page.

Wind vs Life

I had an epiphany about life while running yesterday. It was a nicer day, the sun was out but the wind was blowing. I was jogging with my daughter in her stroller, which is usually pretty light when its just Kloe and the stroller. But today with the wind blowing I had Kloe strapped into her carrier, bundled up and snapped into the stroller this way we had use of the double canopy for a wind break. As I ran up a hill I got a strong blast of a head wind. The head wind used my daughters stroller as a wind sock, which made the stroller even heavier to push. This happened a bunch of times on my run. And with each hill I was getting more and more tired. I was starting to think about giving up and I just couldn't wait to turn the corner just to have the wind blowing at a different angle. After laboring pretty hard up one particular hill while with the wind at my face I had this wonderful epiphany about life! Life tends to be hard sometimes. We have our big hills and small hills. We st...
