Pregnancy!!

Since becoming pregnant a few months ago, it seems my world has been turned up side down. My expectations of myself have had to change, as my energy levels have been all over the place, and the nausea is horrible. I can't seem to get a grip on food at the moment. I will get a craving, eat it and then be very let down to find that I really didn't want what I thought I did. Sigh... For someone who was in a good place with food before the pregnancy, this has been difficult to deal with. Nothing seems to make me feel better. BLAH!!

My last pregnancy was 10 years ago. Although I struggled with energy levels during that pregnancy, it was not quite this bad and I really never was sick in my stomach at all. So this experience is a whole new ball of wax for me.

As a fitness Coach this has made my life a little bit more difficult. As I want to remain a good example of health, fitness and nutrition for the people I work with. I am just starting to get a handle on all the changes that my body is currently going through, so I can be more consistent and realistic with my own expectations of myself.

Since I know my energy levels tend to dip, my fitness schedule is now changing to every other day. I am still going to do the occasional Turbo Fire routine (when I feel up to it), but have opted to be more consistent with my Brazil Butt Lift program for the next few months. BBL will help keep my weak areas sculpted and toned, while helping me to burn fat, without causing me to use all my energy stores and become a slug for several days afterward. LOL!!

With nutrition I have had to change my supplement routine. I love Shakeology, but it is not hitting the mark like it used to. So I only drink it a few times a week and supplement with a pre-natal when I don't drink it. Man I can't wait for these weird food issues to go away!! Lord I hope they don't last the entire pregnancy!

Besides the few problems I am running into, I am loving being pregnant again. Watching the changes that are happening to my body is always really neat! I am so glad that this time around I am in a much healthier place. My last pregnancy I was already packing on the fat, and this time around things are going much better in that area! Yay!!

The battle is on!

Ughhh...The sickies have made it to our home!  All I want to do is run for cover or put on a gas mask and pray no one coughs, wipes their nose on me or sneezes in my face! Haahhaaa! Such wishful thinking for mommy of three! There's not even the slightest chance I won't at least get sneezed on or have someone wiping their buggers on my shirt. Hey! Thatā€™s life when you have little kids. And expecting to have beautiful tops that donā€™t look like condors eliminated all over them is everyone womanā€™s dream, but not necessarily a reality! Oh, and how Iā€™d love to wear beautiful clothing on a regular basis. But for now, Iā€™ll settle for my t-shirts, yoga pants and the occasional dress up moment for a special outing. Fancy clothing will have to wait for this Momma, because I donā€™t get a lot of time to mess around with being ultra-stylish. When I do stop to try and sort out my outfits, do my hair or brush my teethā€¦ is usually the time my toddler or the 5 yr old start going through my ...

MEAL PLAN

Planning meals out ahead of time should not make you want to cross your eyes and faint at the thought! It's actually pretty simple when you think about it. It just takes a few minutes. Over time you will get better and better at it too! So the time you spend in the future on this project will be less and less. Check out my " CLEAN EATING " page for a larger view of this weeks MEAL PLAN and GROCERY LIST!! It's actually pretty simple to eat clean! This is great for people struggling with PCOS like me.

How to get your kids to eat healthier!

The best way I know of getting the kids to eat healthier is to have them help you prepare the food! Egg muffins are a super simple meal to make, and an easy way to get the kids involved too! All you have to do is cut up your toppings, lay them aside and mix the eggs. Once you're done mixing the eggs (I recommend the adult do this if the kids are little), add the egg mixture to the muffin tin evenly, and then have the kids sprinkle in the toppings. Easy peasy! In this recipe we used 12 eggs, added 1/4 cup onion, 1/2 cup tomato and 1/2 cup shredded cheese. Bake @ 375Ā° for 20 minutes. I'm so proud of Miss K for helping me make these today! šŸ’• She did such a great job helping! And once they were done she was super excited to chow down on the fruits of her labor.
